Fire on Kurgyinyan Street: 20 Evacuated, Injuries Reported
On May 3, at 03:38, the National Security Service (NSS) 112 operational management center received a report of a fire that broke out in one of the buildings on Kurgyinyan Street in Yerevan. This information was provided by the Armenian NSS Rescue Service.
Four operational units, one fire truck, and teams from the Firefighting and Rescue Operations Organization Division and the Psychological Support and Medical Provision Division were deployed to the scene.
It was determined that the fire ignited in an apartment on the 6th floor. The fire was contained at 04:29 and extinguished by 04:40. The living room, kitchen, corridor, and balcony were burned, along with some furnishings, while two bedrooms suffered heat damage. Additionally, the surroundings of a window in an apartment on the 7th floor were also heat damaged.
Firefighters evacuated 20 citizens, four of whom were hospitalized. The fire debris also damaged a parked 'Nissan' vehicle near the building. As a result of the firefighters' prompt actions, the spread of the fire was prevented.
