Shooting at the Ministry of Economy: One Injured

Today, on April 6, a shooting occurred at the Ministry of Economy. This was reported by Shamshyan.com.

At around 6:00 PM, an ambulance crew from Yerevan transported a citizen to the Heratsi University Hospital. It was determined on site that the injured person is a 21-year-old male who sustained a gunshot wound to the left shin as a result of the shooting.

According to Shamshyan.com, the injured individual is Suren Ruzyan, 21 years old. The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia has released a clarification stating that in response to media inquiries, at 4:56 PM, the medical center reported to the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ operational control center that an ambulance crew had transported a person with a "gunshot wound to the anterior surface of the left shin" for medical assistance.

Preliminary information suggests that the incident occurred when an employee of a private security company associated with the Ministry of Economy accidentally discharged his weapon while changing shifts. The condition of the transferred individual is assessed as satisfactory.
