Video: Zakharova Discusses Upcoming Elections in Armenia

Moscow cannot ignore the processes taking place in Armenia, such as the adoption of changes to the Electoral Code. This was stated by Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry.

“These changes could impose significant restrictions on the names of political forces participating in the elections. It is important that this is not done with the intention of deliberately limiting the electoral opportunities of the opposition. We remember how Nikol Pashinyan recently said, during a meeting with the President of Russia, that ‘Armenia is a democratic country’ when talking about the upcoming elections,” she noted.
