Medvedev on Armenia's Possible Alliance with 'Disgusting Parasites'
The European Union is becoming a hostile military alliance towards Russia, which is worse than NATO. This opinion was expressed by Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia.
In his post, Medvedev wrote that Donald Trump's campaign against Iran has exacerbated "strong contradictions" within NATO. However, he does not believe Trump's rhetoric, which threatens to pull the US out of the North Atlantic Alliance.
Nevertheless, the politician emphasizes another crucial aspect that changes the worldview. Dmitry Medvedev stated, "European political fanatics, especially in Brussels, are seriously discussing the establishment of a full military component within the EU... The EU is no longer an economic union. It can very quickly turn into a fully and extremely hostile military alliance for Russia, in some ways worse than NATO."
According to Medvedev, this would be the "disgusting mob of furious European parasites," which will earn political capital and money by "inciting Russophobic hysteria." In this regard, he suggests abandoning tolerance towards the membership of Russia's neighboring countries, including Ukraine, in the European Union.
Medvedev also recalled the recent meeting between Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, during which the Russian leader hinted that Armenia's membership in the Eurasian Economic Union and the European Union are incompatible.
