Alen Simonian's Strong Reaction to Putin's Statements

Putin provided a "bear service" and openly stated, "these are my guys, let them participate in the elections." This was said by Speaker of the National Assembly Alen Simonian during a press briefing, in reference to the recent meeting between Nikol Pashinyan and Vladimir Putin.

"It was evident that the Russian president was talking about pro-Russian political forces, and those forces can no longer claim to have no connection with Russia. Previously, they would say there was a 'green light' from Moscow, but now there is only one 'green light' in Armenia, and that is the 'green light' from the Armenian people. The Armenian people do not accept being dictated to from the outside. We are tired of political figures and appointed leaders being brought into our political arena from abroad," said Speaker Alen Simonian.
