Zelensky is Closer to the Graveyard than Kupiansk, Says Zakharova
Kupiansk has been and remains under the control of the Russian armed forces, while Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is closer to the graveyard than Kupiansk. This was stated during a press briefing by Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“On December 12, Zelensky allegedly displayed a monument near the entrance to Kupiansk. Kupiansk was liberated by Russian troops on November 20,” she stated.
According to Zakharova, in response, the Ukrainian leader emphasized the importance of achieving results at the line of contact in order for Ukraine to attain outcomes in the diplomatic process. The diplomat added that additional forces have been deployed in the area to ensure effective filming.
As a result of this decision, the Ukrainian armed forces have sustained significant losses in the Kupiansk direction. Furthermore, on December 15, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Svyhaban decided to announce a supposed “successful military operation” in Kupiansk during the EU Council of Foreign Ministers meeting. He insisted that information about a Russian breakthrough is “fake.”
