It's Not Surprising That the Base of Kitric Should Be the Godless and His Team: Aleksanyan

Member of the National Assembly from the "Civil Contract" faction, Vahagn Aleksanyan, made a post on his Facebook page commenting on the calls from the opposition to gather at the Mother See.

"The godless (atheist) political team of Robert Kocharyan will attempt to interfere in the internal affairs of the Armenian Apostolic Church tomorrow. It is not surprising that the base of Kitric should be the godless and their team. But how acceptable is it for the believers of the Armenian Apostolic Church that the godless meddle in the internal affairs of the Church?" wrote Aleksanyan.

Earlier, we reported that a group of bishops from the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church, who recently met with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, issued a new statement that included the following: "Dear spiritual brothers, faithful people of Armenia, on December 18 of this year, at 17:00, come and join us at the spiritual center of the Armenian people, the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, to DEMAND A CALL FOR PEACE, which has become an urgent necessity. May the Almighty God bless our national mission and realize the years-long dream and desire of spiritual leaders and believers."

At the same time, several opposition forces have also called for gathering at the Mother See.
