The Rescuers of Ktrich Serve the Same Agency Network, Says Taron Chakhoyan

The Deputy Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister of Armenia, Taron Chakhoyan, made a post on Facebook addressing the calls from the opposition to gather at the Mother See, as well as separate statements by Levon Kocharian, Narek Karapetyan, and Ishkhan Saghatelyan.

“The rescuers of Ktrich serve the same agency network as Ktrich himself. They are saving their agent friend, their election headquarters. They are rescuing the one who ensures the crowds at their rallies, the one who preaches in churches. The rescuers of Ktrich operate under the same lieutenant’s orders that Ktrich reports to on a daily basis,” wrote Chakhoyan.

On December 17, ten bishops of the Armenian Apostolic Church issued a statement, appealing to the public, and called for a gathering at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin on December 18 at 17:00. At the same time, several opposition forces called for a gathering at the Mother See.

Subsequently, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Mother See issued statements.
