The West Actively Interferes in Elections of Other Countries: Lavrov

The West actively interferes in the elections of other countries, and their "electoral neo-colonialism" poses a threat to majority-rule countries, stated Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

"One of the most prominent manifestations of neo-colonialism is the interference in the internal affairs of sovereign states. The West has never abandoned these methods of operation. To this day, what we have the right to call 'electoral neo-colonialism' has become a very clear threat to majority-rule countries," he said during a meeting of the International Cooperation Committee of the 'United Russia' party.
