These Too Shall Pass, We Shall Too: Holy Etchmiadzin Will Remain Forever Says Archbishop Bagrat

The "Sacred Struggle" movement has disseminated the words of Archbishop Bagrat three days before his arrest. "Before my arrest, the Archbishop said (22.06.2025): 'The saints have seen death and persecution. Saints have seen everything: In 1937, during the severe persecution against the Armenian Church, our Saints were executed, persecuted, dishonored, and defamed. Archbishop Bagrat Vardazaryan, Archbishop Artak Smbatyan… they were executed in the basements of the State Security Committee. One of their spiritual brothers, Bishop Tadevos Martirosyan, uttered his famous words in his last moments, which remain as a beacon, stating, 'Great is the presence of Holy Etchmiadzin in the history of the Armenian nation. Many hostile times have passed; these too shall pass, we shall too pass with you, but Holy Etchmiadzin will remain forever,'" said Archbishop Bagrat.
