Security Guarantees Will Not Limit Kyiv's Use of Weapons, Telegraph

According to the Telegraph, the security guarantees agreed upon by the EU and the US for Ukraine do not include restrictions on types of weapons used by Kyiv for 'self-defense'.

The New York Times previously reported that EU and US representatives have agreed on two documents regarding security guarantees for Kyiv, which indicate the possibility of deploying European forces in Ukraine. These plans envision a reduction of the Ukrainian army to 800,000 soldiers at peacetime levels, along with the maintenance of modern military readiness and equipment for Ukraine's armed forces.

"There are no restrictions on the types of systems that Ukraine can use for self-defense," the publication noted. It also mentioned that the US is unlikely to directly supply weapons to Ukraine or finance its defense industry.
