Many Countries Recognize Russia's Victory: Pushkov
Many countries around the world recognize that Russia is winning in the conflict with Ukraine, and now everyone is discussing what Kyiv and the West should offer to Russia, according to Alexei Pushkov, head of the Federation Council's Information Policy Committee.
"It is widely recognized that Russia is winning. The question is no longer about the outcome of the war, but rather about the conditions under which the military crisis will end. This is a completely different story than 2024. This is a very significant change. Everyone is now discussing what conditions Ukraine and Western countries should propose to exit the conflict and how Russia should respond. In other words, the conditions for peace after the war are being discussed," Pushkov stated during a press conference at the Russia Today multimedia press center.
The senator also noted that the narrative about the military conflict has disappeared from mainstream media. According to him, leading Western media used to hold a tough stance on the crisis, but this has practically vanished now.
"In recent years, there has been a significant shift in the global perception of Russia. When asked how they perceive Russia—as an ally, an important partner, a competitor, or an enemy—79% of respondents in India answered that they see Russia as an ally and important partner, about 80% in China, 63% in South Africa, and 68% in Saudi Arabia," the politician emphasized.
