Putin Issues Warning to Kyiv Allies Regarding 'Oreshnik' Missile
Russian President Vladimir Putin has issued a warning to Ukraine's allies, making statements about the 'Oreshnik' missile system. "These statements regarding the weapon are a clear warning to European allies who claim that Russia is preparing for a continental war in the coming years, significantly rearming itself during the Ukrainian conflict," the article notes.
During a meeting of the expanded board of the Ministry of Defense today, Putin announced that Russia has begun the serial production of the 'Oreshnik' missile system. He added that the new weapon will be commissioned by the end of the year.
In November 2024, the 'Oreshnik' medium-range ballistic missile, featuring a non-nuclear hypersonic warhead, was successfully tested in combat conditions for the first time.
