Russia to Strengthen Cooperation with CSTO and Other Allies

Russia will intensify cooperation with the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) allies. This was announced by the Russian Defense Minister, Andrey Belousov.

He noted that the cooperation would involve raising the level of joint actions and military coordination. Over the past year, 23 joint exercises and drills have been conducted.

"It is necessary to continue the work, taking into account Russia's upcoming presidency in the CSTO," the minister emphasized.
