Russia Ready to Assist Iran in Finding Solutions for Nuclear Program, Lavrov Says

Russia is prepared to assist Iran in finding acceptable solutions for its nuclear program. This was announced by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov during a press conference following negotiations with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

Lavrov emphasized that he discussed the situation surrounding Iran's nuclear program with his Iranian counterpart, adding that Western countries have adopted an "absolutely aggressive, anti-Iranian, and illegal line."

"Russia once again reaffirms its readiness to help its Iranian friends in finding acceptable solutions to resolve the nuclear crisis created by the West," the minister noted.

According to Lavrov, Western Europeans are violating all agreements and norms of the UN Security Council, doing everything possible to restore UN sanctions against Iran. "These sanctions have long expired, months ago, along with the corresponding decisions of the UN Security Council," Lavrov added.
