Please Do Not Perceive My Application to Aliyeva as a Political Act: Euljekjian's Wife Responds to Criticism
Please do not perceive my application to Vice President Aliyeva as a political act or accept it with anger; rather, perceive it with compassion and empathy. This was written by Linda Euljekjian, the wife of Vigen Euljekjian, who is imprisoned in Baku, in response to the criticisms regarding her application addressed to Mehriban Aliyeva.
"My husband can no longer walk, and his prolonged suffering has become unbearable not only for him but also for those of us who love him. Our family is in dire need of his presence, strength, and dignity as a husband and father. This plea for pardon comes from humanity and necessity.
I ask those who read this to look at this request with compassion, understanding that in such moments, mercy can heal wounds instead of deepening them," wrote Euljekjian on her social media page.
