32-Year-Old Woman Stabs 57-Year-Old Aunt at ‘Word of Life’ Church on Tbilisi Highway

On November 2, an extraordinary incident occurred in Yerevan. Around 16:00, the Community Police of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs received operational information that at approximately 12:00, a resident of Kotayk region, 32-year-old Aida A., stabbed her 57-year-old aunt Armenouhi B. in the lobby of the ‘Word of Life’ Church located at 22/9 Tbilisi Highway, as reported by Shamshyan.com.

On the same day, as a result of explanatory work carried out by the officers of the Kanaker-Zeytun police department, Aida A. voluntarily presented herself to the police and confessed that during an argument over previous domestic issues, she had stabbed Armenouhi B. in the seating area of the church lobby with a knife, causing bodily harm.

The victim was transferred to the ‘Yerevan’ Medical Center with a diagnosis of “stab-cut wound in the left sitting area.” Documents regarding the incident have been prepared at the Kanaker-Zeytun police department and were forwarded to the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia for the Kanaker-Zeytun administrative region.
