Passengers of the Tragic Accident on the Yerevan-Gyumri Highway Were Returning from Western Armenia

The passengers of the tragic accident on the Yerevan-Gyumri highway were returning from a trip to Western Armenia. This information was confirmed in a conversation with Auroranews by the Hamshen tour company, stating that their tourist group was involved. Currently, the company has not provided further details.

It should be noted that a tragic accident occurred on the Yerevan-Gyumri highway near the village of Lanjik around 00:27 last night. A passenger microbus of the brand "Volkswagen" collided with a truck of the brand "ZIL" (driver: H.P., born in 1990), resulting in the death of 11 individuals, while 6 others were seriously injured and were taken to the medical center in Gyumri.

In connection with the tragic accident, a criminal case has been initiated at the Shirak regional investigative department of the RA Investigative Committee under the features of part 3 of Article 342 of the RA Criminal Code.
