21-Year-Old Mouchegh Eloyan Was the Tourist Killed in Tragic Accident
Today, on August 14, a tragic accident occurred on the Yerevan-Gyumri highway, resulting in the death of 21-year-old Mouchegh Eloyan, a tourist guide. This was reported by NEWS.am. He had started working at "Hamshen Tour" six months ago and was not married.
The accident also claimed the lives of a couple from Kasakh, Kotayk Province. According to the local community leader Artak Tovmasyan, they had set out to Western Armenia with their relatives. “They were very respected people. Yesterday we learned that the deceased man was Araik Murafyan, born in 1967, and his wife Alvard Murafyan, born in 1972. They had a grown son, were married, and had gone to Western Armenia with their relatives,” Tovmasyan stated.
The passengers involved in the tragic accident were returning from a trip to Western Armenia. It is worth noting that during the night of August 14, a tragic car crash occurred near the village of Lanjik on the Yerevan-Gyumri highway. At the 90th km mark of the Yerevan-Gyumri highway, a passenger van of the brand "Volkswagen" collided with a truck of the brand "ZIL." A total of 11 citizens have died, including the driver of the van and the tourist guide Mouchegh Eloyan, while 6 others have been seriously injured. Five of the injured are in the intensive care unit, with four in serious condition and one in critical condition. The driver of the "ZIL" truck is also among the injured.
