The Location of St. Mkrtich is Being Hidden: 6 Clergymen Arrested, Lawyer Says

The location of St. Mkrtich is being hidden. This was reported by lawyer Ara Zohrapyan. Five clergymen from the Aragatsotn Diocese and St. Mkrtich have been taken into custody following searches at their residences.

“The location of St. Mkrtich is unknown, and the investigative committee is not providing any information, while the head of the investigative group states that he is not aware of his whereabouts. This is a gross violation of the rights of St. Mkrtich (civil name Hayk Proshyan),” the lawyer noted.

It is noteworthy that at the moment, Father P'aren, Father Manuk, Father Hayk, Father Mkrtich, and Father Ghevond are being held at the Yerevan investigative committee. Currently, 6 clergymen have been arrested.
