Narek Ohanian, Arrested in Valodja Grigoryan's Murder Case, Subjected to Violence in Nubarashen Prison

According to legal sources reported to ArmLur.am, Narek Ohanian, who is arrested in the case of the murder of Parakarr community leader Valodja Grigoryan, has been subjected to violence in Nubarashen prison.

As per the information received by the site, Narek Ohanian, held in solitary confinement or the well-known 'quarantine' in the prison, was moved to a general cell, where he reportedly faced violence. Consequently, the leadership of the correctional facility, realizing that his life was in danger, has returned him to solitary confinement.

The website has reached out to the Penitentiary Service to clarify what occurred, but Nona Navikyan, head of the Public Relations Department of the Penitentiary Service, indicated that she had no authority to provide such information.
