Major Car Accident Near Yeghvard: Casualties Reported

Today at 04:37, the Kotayk regional crisis management center received a report about a traffic accident near the city of Yeghvard, with a gas leak and casualties present.

A fire and rescue team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene.

It was determined that a Mercedes-Benz C180 (driver: T.G., born in 1993) had veered off the roadway, collided with a gas pipeline, and slid down a ditch (approximately 3 meters).

Before the rescuers arrived, workers from the gas emergency service had stopped the gas leak from the pipeline.

The rescuers cut off the power to the vehicle, closed the gas tank valve, and assisted the driver and passenger G.K. (born in 2000) by taking them to an ambulance. They were subsequently hospitalized at Armenia Medical Center.
