Passenger Train Derails in Montana, US – Approximately 147 Passengers Onboard

A passenger train operated by Amtrak derailed in Montana, resulting in the deaths of three individuals, according to CBS News citing local police.

"According to the Liberty County Sheriff, at least three fatalities have been confirmed," the report states.

Previously, Amtrak announced that the train derailed near the town of Joplin. At the time of the accident, there were approximately 147 passengers along with 13 crew members onboard. The company stated that they are addressing the needs of the injured and evacuating passengers from the train.
