Car Carrying Excursion Passengers Overturns on Stepanakert-Yerevan Highway
On June 7 at 08:58, the emergency services of the Kashatagh region received information from the Road Police that an accident had occurred at the 55th km of the Stepanakert-Yerevan highway, resulting in injuries.
According to preliminary data, S. M., a resident of the Khachen community in the Askeran region, lost control of his "MERCEDES SPRINTER" vehicle under unclear circumstances and overturned, reports the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Firefighters and rescuers from the Kashatagh Fire and Rescue Service arrived at the scene and transported the injured individuals with various bodily injuries to the "Kashatagh Regional Medical Organization". From there, they were further transferred to the Republican Medical Center in Stepanakert and the Aravik Children's Hospital.
The vehicle was carrying teachers from the school in the Tsaghkashat community of the Askeran region, who were on their way to an excursion to the Tatev Monastery.
