The Motive Was Revenge: Head of Investigation Committee on the Murder of Valodya Grigoryan
The suspect in the murder of Valodya Grigoryan stated that the motive was revenge, claiming to have been close to Grigor and Narek Ohanjanyan. According to him, his friend was killed by Valodya Grigoryan's associates, and he blames Grigoryan for all of it. This was reported by the head of the Investigation Committee, Arthur Poghosyan, during an interview with H1.
"We have testimonies that an hour before the incident, Narek Ohanjanian fired shots in the area belonging to him, and the bag with the discovered clothing was found there. 'Narek Ohanjanian, realizing he would be the prime suspect, was in front of cameras the entire time to refute his own version. We then discovered the gym card, and the cardholder testified that days before the incident, he had given the bag to the perpetrator. The accused had been following the target for a month, knowing which part of the house was being filmed. Narek Ohanjanian refuses to testify, claiming he had no connection,' said Arthur Poghosyan.
It is noteworthy that on September 23, at 23:52, a report was received by the Ministry of Internal Affairs that gunfire had occurred on Yerevan Highway in the Mrdzavan community of Armavir province. As a result of the armed attack in Mrdzavan, Valodya Grigoryan, the head of the Parakar community, and police officer Karen Abrahamyan were killed.
