Attention! The Road Department Foundation informs that as of March 14 at 17:00, the Vardenyats Pass, the Gndevaz-Jermuk, and the Ttujur-Navur roads are closed to all types of vehicles.
There has been a traffic jam on the Gorayk-Zanger section of the Sisian region, which has resulted in the closure of the road from the Jermuk intersection to Sisian for all types of vehicles in conjunction with the road police.
Due to blizzard and low visibility, the Saravan Pass is closed for vehicles with trailers, and passenger vehicles can barely pass.
The Stepanavan turns are impassable for vehicles with trailers. The Dilijan and Spitak turns are also closed for vehicles with trailers.
Snow is falling in the regions of Ashtarak, Aparan, Aragats, Spitak, Vanadzor, Tumanyan, Stepanavan, Tashir, Nairi, Abovyan, Sevan, Dilijan, Gavar, Martuni, Jambarak, Sisian, Goris, Talin, Ani, Aratik, and Akhuryan.
There are patches of black ice on the roads in the Goris and Spitak regions and on the road leading to Tzilkhar.
Blizzard conditions persist on the roads in the regions of Ani, Aratik, Akhuryk, Ashotzk, and Aragats.
Due to heavy snowfalls and snowdrifts, we advise drivers to travel to the Dilijan turns, Spitak, and the Gorayk-Zanger section in Syunik province only if absolutely necessary.
Road construction workers are carrying out snow removal and salt-sand treatment works on the roads.
