The Prime Minister Has Absolute Majority Support: Aleksanyan
The number of members in the board of the "Civil Contract" party will be 20 instead of 15. Members are elected through direct voting. This was stated by the Deputy Chairman of the "Civil Contract" party's board, Vahagn Aleksanyan. According to him, a quota has also been set; the number of the opposite gender in the board cannot be less than 5.
"The fact that the current Prime Minister of the country, the leader of the party, has the confidence of the absolute majority of the party is not just normal; it is more than normal. It would be abnormal if it were not the case, as it would mean that there is some serious political issue," Aleksanyan added.
Addressing the issue of electing Nikol Pashinyan as the chairman of the board, he emphasized that the Prime Minister has the support of the absolute majority.
