Zaluzhnyi Comments on Wiretapping Discovery
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, has commented for the first time on the discovery of wiretapping devices in one of his offices. His remarks were reported by RBC-Ukraine.
Zaluzhnyi confirmed the discovery of the wiretapping equipment and noted that the device was found in an office he was supposed to use on December 18. “I have several places where I work. And this happened in one of them. I haven't been there for a long time. But we checked and found it,” he said.
The Supreme Commander stated that he had used this office previously, but he is confident that the wiretapping was installed recently, just before a planned meeting there. Earlier, the Security Service of Ukraine had discovered listening devices in the offices of the Supreme Commander and his assistants. A criminal case has been initiated regarding this fact.
