Deputy Head of Sevan Penitentiary Arrested

In response, we confirm that searches were conducted at the Sevan Penitentiary Institution of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia as part of a criminal case being investigated by the Anti-Corruption Committee. This was stated to Auroranews by the spokesperson for the Anti-Corruption Committee, Marina Ohanyan.

“The deputy head of the penitentiary institution has been arrested. We cannot provide further details due to the interests of the investigation,” she noted.
