Nikol Pashinyan and Anna Hakobyan Attend Military Parade in China

The military parade is taking place in Tiananmen Square in Beijing, commemorating the Chinese people's resistance against Japanese invaders and the 80th anniversary of victory in World War II. Over 26 foreign leaders, including Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, have been invited to the celebration marking this significant anniversary.

Leaders from Myanmar, Mongolia, Indonesia, Zimbabwe, and Central Asian countries, along with representatives from Russia, North Korea, and Iran, will participate in a showcase of various weapons intended for combat readiness by China.

The military formations will be led by members of the honor guard of the People's Liberation Army of China. During the parade, the Chinese army plans to display its military might, particularly highlighting advanced missile developments, domestically produced drones, and tanks. Approximately 40,000 servicemen and over 500 pieces of equipment are expected to parade through the square, concluding with an aerial column of 100 aircraft.

Among the showcased weapons will be the most advanced examples of military hardware, including aviation, missile, land, and naval technology. The ceremonial march will combine the historical traditions of the People’s Republic of China with modern achievements.

Participants will include units whose history dates back to those forces that played a crucial role in the Chinese people's resistance during the Japanese aggression. The parade will also display new domestically produced weaponry and military technology, which have recently been adopted into military service. For the first time, there will be presentations of new strategic weaponry for land, sea, and air deployment, including tanks, fighter jets, drones, hypersonic, and precision-guided missile systems, as well as modern examples of fourth-generation weapons, anti-drone complexes, directed energy systems, and other developments.
