Until Where Will the Dedicated Bus Lane Continue?
Public transport will continue to have an advantage over other traffic participants. In Yerevan, the dedicated bus lane, which has been implemented up to Mashtots Avenue, will extend towards Isakov Avenue. This was announced by the head of the Transport Department of the Yerevan Municipality, Vazgen Harutyunyan, during a press conference.
“The bus lane from Mashtots Avenue will continue towards Khorenatsi Street, going through Italy and Beirut Streets, and then along Argishti Street towards the Victory Bridge. A number of changes in traffic organization have been made on these streets as part of this lane's implementation. As a continuation of all this, there will be a change in traffic organization on Saryan Street, where one-way traffic is expected to be organized from Leo Street towards Baghramyan Avenue, as well as from Tumanyan Street along the section to Moscow Street up to Baghramyan Avenue. This will also be implemented as one-way traffic,” said Harutyunyan.
According to him, changes will also be made on Khorenatsi Street, with a parking prohibition implemented in the section of the bus lane. “It is expected that the works will begin this month and be completed in one month,” Harutyunyan added.
