362 Driving Under the Influence: Results of Patrols from Last Week
From April 28 to May 5, during operations in the capital, Yerevan patrols detected 4,441 violations of traffic regulations and moved 146 vehicles to the designated areas. Specifically, 143 individuals were found driving under the influence, while 274 were caught driving without a valid driver's license.
During the same period in the regions, patrols identified 14,380 traffic violations, relocating 247 vehicles. Among them, 219 were found driving under the influence, 643 without a driver's license, and 2 with falsified licenses. Additional violations included 60 related to registration plates, 1 for driving with a false registration plate, 3,167 for not wearing a seatbelt, 164 for not having a child seat, 462 for smoking while driving, 542 for using a phone while driving, 45 for jaywalking, 2,302 for speeding, and 4,229 other infractions.
415 vehicles were operated without an insurance policy, 1,567 had not undergone technical inspection, and 421 had malfunctioning lights, including 12 trucks. Additionally, 44 individuals were arrested on various suspicions and taken to community police departments.
There were also 23 violations related to registration plates, 802 for not wearing seatbelts, 14 for not having a child seat, 406 for smoking while driving, 312 for using a phone while driving, 36 for jaywalking, and 1,637 other violations. 113 vehicles were operated without an insurance policy, 325 had not passed technical inspection, 62 had malfunctioning lights, and 51 had tinted windshields and side windows. Moreover, 74 individuals were arrested on various suspicions and taken to community police departments.
