Rescuers Pull Child's Body From River 30 Minutes After Discovery

On May 24, at approximately 10:52 AM, the Crisis Management National Center received information that rescuers conducting search operations had discovered the body of a child missing since May 4 in the Marmarik River near the bridge adjacent to the "Hrazdan HPP." This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

At 11:11 AM, the rescuers retrieved the body of T.P. (born in 2023) from the river.

It should be noted that on May 4, at 11:47 AM, the crisis management center of the Kotayk regional rescue department received a call stating that a 2-year-old child had gone missing from a yard of a house on the 3rd street in the village of Marmarik (Marmarik River flows nearby). Rescuers were required to assist in the search.

From May 4 to May 24, a total of 1,591 rescue service personnel and about 800 police officers were involved in the search operations.

Earlier today, around 10:40 AM, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations had reported discovering the body of the child who had been missing since May 4 in the Marmarik River near the Hrazdan HPP bridge. The Investigative Committee has stated that an external examination of the child's body revealed no signs of injuries or traces of violence. A forensic examination of the body has been ordered.
