Thunderstorm-like Rains Expected: Surenyans Discusses Weather

Due to the active cyclonic activity, heavy rains have been observed throughout the republic yesterday. This was reported by Gagik Surenyans, the Deputy Director of the Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center, on Facebook.

“In certain areas of the Ararat Plain, rainfall has reached 50-60% of the monthly norm. The influence of the cyclone will persist across Armenia during the day and into the upcoming night, resulting in thunderstorms and rains in all regions. Tomorrow afternoon, the cyclone will lose its strength, and only brief showers are expected in the northern regions of the republic,” he wrote.
