Azerbaijan Opens Fire Towards Khoynavar: Ministry of Defense

On April 23, around 22:20, Azerbaijani Armed Forces units opened fire towards Khoynavar village in the Syunik province, resulting in damage to a residential house. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Armenia.

There are no casualties reported. We call on the Azerbaijani side to investigate the shooting incident involving the residential house in Khoynavar and to provide public clarifications.

Recall that the office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia has proposed creating a joint mechanism for investigating incidents of ceasefire violations and/or information regarding such matters between Armenia and Azerbaijan, to which Azerbaijan has not yet responded.
