Ministry of Defense Issues New Statement

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense's statement alleging that on April 9 at around 23:50, units of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia opened fire on Azerbaijani positions located in the northeastern section of the border, does not correspond to reality.

It should be noted that the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia has proposed the establishment of a joint mechanism for investigating incidents of violations of the ceasefire and/or relevant information between Armenia and Azerbaijan, to which Azerbaijan has yet to respond.

The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia reaffirms its readiness to investigate the facts supporting the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense's statement, provided that these facts are communicated to Armenia.
