Pakistan and India Exchange Gunfire
India and Pakistan have exchanged gunfire in several areas along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir. This was reported by the PTI news agency.
“In some places, gunfire occurred at the initiative of Pakistan using small arms,” the source stated, adding that there was a positive response to these actions.
There are no reports of casualties. The agency noted that the shelling by the Pakistan Army occurred against the backdrop of rising tensions between the two sides.
It is worth recalling that yesterday it was reported that India has halted water supply from the Indus River to Pakistan for the first time since the historic signing of the water treaty in 1960.
The Pakistani authorities have declared that the blockade of Indus waters is considered an “act of war” and intend to respond by all possible means.
