Armenian Defense Ministry Responds to Azerbaijani Statement

The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry's statement claiming that from March 31 at 17:00 to April 1 at 04:45, Armenian Armed Forces units opened fire towards Azerbaijani positions located in the eastern and southeastern sectors of the border is not aligned with reality, according to a statement released by the Armenian Defense Ministry.

"We remind that the Government of the Republic of Armenia proposed to create a joint mechanism to investigate incidents of ceasefire violations and/or related information between Armenia and Azerbaijan, to which Azerbaijan has yet to respond. The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia reiterates that in accordance with the position of the Prime Minister's Office, it is ready to investigate the facts supporting the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry's statement, provided they are communicated to Armenia," the ministry reports.
