Armenian Ministry of Defense Issues Statement

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense has again disseminated disinformation. The Azerbaijani MoD's statement claiming that on March 18, during the period between 16:40 and 18:30, the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia fired upon Azerbaijani positions in the eastern part of the border does not reflect reality.

It should be noted that the Office of the Prime Minister of Armenia proposed to create a joint mechanism for investigating cases of ceasefire violations and/or information regarding such violations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, to which Azerbaijan has not yet responded.

The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia reaffirms that in accordance with the position of the Prime Minister's Office, it is ready to investigate the facts supporting the Azerbaijani MoD's statement, provided that such information is transferred to Armenia.

At this time, the Republic of Azerbaijan has not provided the Republic of Armenia with any factual data or justification regarding violations of the ceasefire regime by the Armed Forces of Armenia.
