Armenian Ministry of Defense Issues Statement
The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense has spread yet another piece of disinformation. This was announced by the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Defense.
The statement from the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense claiming that on March 20, during the period from 12:30 to 15:15, units of the Armenian Armed Forces opened fire at Azerbaijani positions located in the eastern and southeastern sections of the border is untrue.
It should be recalled that the office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia proposed to establish a joint mechanism for investigating incidents of ceasefire violations and/or related information between Armenia and Azerbaijan, to which Azerbaijan has yet to respond.
The Armenian Ministry of Defense reaffirms that in accordance with the position of the Prime Minister's office, it is ready to investigate the facts substantiating the statement from the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense, should those be provided to Armenia.
At this time, the Republic of Azerbaijan has not provided the Republic of Armenia with any factual data or rationale regarding allegations of ceasefire violations by the Armenian Armed Forces.
