Armenian Defense Ministry Issues Statement

The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry's statement claiming that on April 9, between 19:25 and 19:35, Armenian Armed Forces units opened fire towards Azerbaijani positions located in the southeastern section of the border is not true. This was reported by the Armenian Defense Ministry.

It should be noted that the Prime Minister's Office of the Republic of Armenia has proposed creating a joint mechanism for investigating incidents of ceasefire violations and/or information regarding them between Armenia and Azerbaijan, to which Azerbaijan has yet to respond.

The Armenian Ministry of Defense reaffirms that in accordance with the position of the Prime Minister's Office, it is prepared to investigate the facts substantiating the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry's statement, should they be provided to Armenia.
