This Road Can End Quite Quickly and Successfully: Peskov
The normalization of relations between Russia and the United States could conclude swiftly and successfully, provided that the political will of Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump is maintained. This was stated by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin.
“There is a long way to go since enormous damage has been inflicted on the entire complex of bilateral relations, but if the political will of both leaders—President Putin and President Trump—is maintained, then this road can end quite quickly and successfully,” he said.
High-level Russian-American negotiations took place in Riyadh on February 18. The parties agreed to create conditions for restoring cooperation, lifting restrictions on embassy operations, and initiating a process for resolving the situation in Ukraine.
