I May Not Know Something: Peskov on Trump and Putin's Conversation
The press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, did not confirm or deny U.S. President Donald Trump’s statements regarding a conversation with Russian leader Vladimir Putin in an interview with REN TV.
“When the Washington administration is active, many communications arise, and these communications happen through various channels. Of course, against the backdrop of this multitude of communications, I personally may not know something or be unaware of certain things. Therefore, in this case, I cannot confirm or deny it,” explained the official representative of the Kremlin.
It should be noted that Trump had a phone call with President Vladimir Putin regarding the resolution of the conflict in Ukraine. The president also expressed hope that military operations would come to a quick end.
“I prefer not to say anything,” Trump responded when asked how many times he had communicated with the Russian president. At the same time, Trump stated that Vladimir Putin “wants people to stop dying.”
