Avinyan on the Case of Hooliganism in Public Transport
During a procedural meeting of the Yerevan Mayor's Office, incidents of hooliganism in public transport were addressed. It was reported that on Friday, a passenger struck and broke a bus window with an emergency hammer.
“It is very unfortunate that we have such incidents. I believe there should be an understanding that these buses, the public transport, belong to all of us. If we have such an attitude towards our own property, a corresponding response should follow,” said Mayor Tigran Avinyan in response to the incident.
He also mentioned that many drivers patiently carry out their work, despite the possibility of their nerves fraying during these days. “I ask our drivers to remain calm, to do their jobs, and not to fall for provocations,” Avinyan stated.
