Moscow Opposes Armenia and Baku's Hasty and Final Decisions: Galuzin

Moscow supports the establishment of a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan, countries with which we have allied relations, that would pave the way and signify a stable, long-term resolution of relations. This was stated by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin.

“Naturally, we are always ready to contribute to progress, and we oppose the signature of any hasty document, as the West insists, which is very eager to push Armenia and Azerbaijan to conclude a peace agreement as soon as possible on any Western platform,” he noted.

According to Galuzin, hasty and unverified final decisions can lead not to long-term stable peace but, on the contrary, plant certain 'seeds of confrontation' for the future. He considers this option extremely undesirable for Armenia, Azerbaijan, the South Caucasus, and Russia.
