Godric Gryffindor's Sword Considered a Weapon and Pulled from Sale in Japan

The sword of Godric Gryffindor, famous from the "Harry Potter" films, has been classified as a weapon and removed from sale in Japan. This was reported by SoraNews24.

The iconic artifact was put on sale by Warner Bros. in Japan starting in May. However, it has only recently been revealed that the sword is too sharp to be sold as a toy, thus violating the laws in the country. It is noted that Japan prohibits carrying knives longer than 6 cm. Violating this law is punishable by up to two years of imprisonment.

The company is now announcing a recall of the swords and is asking those who have already purchased Godric Gryffindor's sword to contact them "to arrange for the return of the funds and the sword."
