VIDEO. Fare to Decrease for Many Public Transport Users, Increase for Few, Avinyan

The Mayor of Yerevan, Tigran Avinyan, has provided details about reforms in the transport sector for the city's residents.

“One of our priorities is to have a safe and continuously improving transportation system for people. This year we have acquired 171 new buses that will soon serve our citizens, while 15 new trolleys are already in operation. We have increased dedicated lanes for public transport and implemented new payment options. Alongside this, we are continuing a number of other initiatives aimed at improving the sector. Our goal is to create a system that makes the daily lives of Yerevan residents more comfortable,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
