Protesters Attack Parliament in Tbilisi Using Explosives
On Sunday evening in Tbilisi, participants of an opposition rally again fired explosives at the parliament building. They managed to ignite a fire within the structure, as reported by RIA Novosti's correspondent.
The protesters concentrated their targets on the windows of the front face of the building. Additionally, they are attacking the metal fence near the parliament and throwing firecrackers. Police barricades are located along the paths to the building's side entrances. Traffic has been blocked on Rustaveli Avenue, adjacent to the parliament.
It should be noted that yesterday, the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that protesters had thrown stones and pyrotechnics at the parliament and also hurled incendiary objects, which resulted in a fire breaking out inside the building; this fire has since been extinguished.
