VIDEO: Zelensky Ready to End War Without Territory Return

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is willing to allow the "hot phase" of the conflict to end if NATO takes control of the territories managed by Kyiv under its "umbrella." He made these remarks in an interview with SKY News.

"If we want to stop the hot phase of the war, we need to bring Ukraine’s territory under NATO’s umbrella, which is under our control. This is something we must do quickly," he said.

Zelensky further stated, "The fact is this is a decision to halt the hot phase of the war, as we can join NATO with the territories that are under our control," clarifying that he intends to work towards the diplomatic return of the territories afterward. He noted that Ukraine had not discussed this proposal before simply because no one had officially suggested it.

Zelensky's statement has already sparked intense reactions in Ukraine. As reported by the Strana publication, this marks Zelensky’s first announcement since February 2022 indicating he is ready to end the conflict without reclaiming lost territories.
