I Will Never Ask for Such a Thing: Zelensky

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, stated that he would be happy to see foreign troops sent to Ukraine, but fears that if he raises this issue, half of the allies would stop supporting Kyiv.

"We will never ask for troops to be deployed to our territory. I have already answered this many times: do we want it? Yes, of course, we would be delighted. However, if I discuss this issue with the EU and NATO, we will lose their troops and half of our allies will immediately cease their support. Therefore, I cannot take that risk," Zelensky is quoted by the Ukrinform agency.

Earlier, Monde reported that France and Great Britain had resumed discussions on the possible deployment of Western military personnel to Ukraine.
